Game Description
For those that suffer from arachnophobia, then man up because it’s only a game. These eight-legged delights are brought to us by Pariplay, via the Atari range of games they have licensed. Bizarrely these insects take on the form of military characters that play out the slot game in the deep jungles of some island. The game opens up with lush green and brown colours with the animation of sun rays slowly sweeping across the top left corner of the game. The slot grid itself is a camouflaged form of military telephone.
To the left of the grid, we have our lovable eight-legged beast, beautifully contoured, with black eyeshadow, nicely presented with an army helmet and goggle combo. The Black Widow carries a gun and torch and oddly jerks about, so beware.
Technical Characteristics
Black Widow is a 5 reel slot game that has a 25 pay line offering. This is not a coin-based game, so the real money betting stakes start at 0.25 and climbs up to 12.50.
The game has some very nice touches that will literally take you by surprise. Note that upon getting a winning line based on one of the insect character symbols, that insect will pop up out of nowhere and play out a very well-crafted animation that will see the insect do something with their weapon.
Of the insects on offer, we have a bug carrying a mini-gun. A green ant with bazooka, mosquito with a hand grenade, praying mantis with a giant hunting knife and a yellow and holding two Uzi machine guns. All standard insect weaponry when there is a war going on. The rest of the symbols are worn and damaged gaming cards and the feature symbols that will elevate your wins balance.
Built using HTML5 software, you’ll be able to play this game on all devices from Mac’s to mobile phones, without losing of the high graphic quality.
Bonuses and Rewards
The feature symbols come in the form of a wild symbol, free games, seek and destroy and exterminator. The wild symbols speak for themselves as they are even tagged with the information that they replace all symbols, except the bonus features.
Free games are basically your free spins, 3 symbols will generate 15 free spins, 4 symbols gets 20 free spins and all 5 gives you 25 free spins. During free spin rounds you can win other bonus features as well.
The Seek and Destroy reward must land the relative symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 to activate the bonus round. Your mission is to uncover the 3 bugs that have infiltrated the nest, you’ll click on possible hiding places to reveal the insurgents, and each correct one gives you a multiplier bonus that times the bet stake prior to the round.
Exterminator is the final bonus feature and this must see the relevant symbol land on reels 1 and 5 to trigger the bonus round. Here you get to kill the invading bugs, but use the ammo wisely as each but gives you a different multiplier for each hit.
This is a great game and Pariplay must have had a lot of fun making this, as the excitement bleeds through into the gameplay. It has plenty of animation, some we have not mentioned just so you can experience them for yourself. Black Widow is packed with levels of entertainment with 3 great bonus rounds and offers hours of excitement.
